How it works
When Deep Thinking is enabled, the AI takes a moment to reason through its response before speaking. This produces:- More accurate technical answers — Better code review, system design discussions, and analytical reasoning
- More nuanced evaluation — Deeper understanding of participant responses for more precise scoring
- Better follow-up questions — The AI identifies gaps and inconsistencies more effectively
When to use Deep Thinking
Technical Interviews
System design, coding problems, and architecture discussions benefit from deeper reasoning.
Case Studies
Business case interviews where the AI needs to evaluate complex, multi-factor arguments.
Medical Training
Clinical scenarios where the AI needs to reason through symptoms, differential diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Legal Training
Contract review, negotiation practice, and regulatory compliance scenarios.
Enabling Deep Thinking

Open your scenario
Navigate to the scenario you want to configure.

Go to Settings
Click the Settings tab.

Enable Deep Thinking
Toggle on Deep Thinking under capabilities.
Deep Thinking adds a brief pause (1-3 seconds) before the AI responds. For fast-paced conversational scenarios like sales calls, you may prefer to leave it off for a more natural flow.
Mid-turn tuning
Beyond the on/off toggle, you can tune how much reasoning happens per turn from the Deep Think dialog on the scenario page:- Reasoning budget — cap how long the AI is allowed to think before it must speak. Shorter for fast-paced calls; longer for high-stakes analysis.
- Trigger — always reason, or only when the AI’s own confidence in the next response falls below a threshold.
- Visible thinking (preview) — expose a compressed rationale to the meeting host so you can see why the AI answered the way it did after the fact.
