Web Search gives your AI persona the ability to look up information on the internet during a live session. This keeps conversations grounded in current, factual data.

How it works

When enabled, the AI can search the web mid-conversation to:
  • Look up current facts, statistics, or news
  • Verify claims made by participants
  • Find relevant resources to share
  • Answer questions that require up-to-date information
The search happens in real-time. The AI briefly pauses to look something up, then incorporates the findings into its response naturally.

Guiding web search behavior

You can control how the AI uses web search through your meeting script:
Web search works best when the AI has a reason to look things up. Mention specific topics, companies, or domains in your script that the AI should research during the conversation.
Web search adds latency when the AI decides to look something up. For time-critical scenarios, guide the AI to search sparingly by adding instructions about when (and when not) to search.
