present_content tool. The file appears in the meeting as a video-overlay surface that both the participant and the AI can reference.
Setting it up
1
Open your scenario
Switch to the Settings tab in the scenario builder.
2
Open the Present Files section
This is a separate section from Knowledge Base — same Settings tab, different list.
3
Upload your files
Drag-and-drop or pick from your computer. Each file gets a name and a short description — the AI uses the description to decide when to show that file.
4
Steer when to present (optional)
In your scenario’s prompt, mention the file name or describe a trigger (“when they ask about pricing, show the pricing sheet”). The AI follows the cue.
Supported formats and limits
Files marked as presentable are also indexed for retrieval — they double as Knowledge Base entries. If you want a file searchable but never shown on screen, attach it to Knowledge Base instead.
Use cases
Pitch Coaching
The AI investor pulls up your real pitch deck slide-by-slide and asks pointed questions per slide.
Contract Negotiation
The AI counter-party shows the disputed clause on screen mid-conversation.
Clinical Training
The AI patient case shows X-rays, charts, or lab results when the trainee asks for them.
Product Demo
The AI sales rep plays a 30-second product video instead of describing the feature in words.
How the AI decides
The AI sees each file’s name and description. During the meeting, when the conversation reaches a point that matches a file’s purpose, it calls thepresent_content tool with that file’s ID. The file appears on the meeting screen as a video overlay; the AI then narrates over it or asks the participant to react to it.
You can guide this in your scenario’s prompt:
In your prompt: “After the participant introduces themselves, show them the company-overview.pdf before asking your discovery questions.”Without explicit prompt instructions, the AI presents files opportunistically based on conversation drift.
Participant-uploaded files
Files uploaded by the participant during a meeting (via the in-call chat surface) are read into that session’s context — the AI can reference them in the current call but they are not added to the scenario’s Present File list. Use this when a participant needs to share a resume, a screenshot, or a doc the host didn’t pre-load.Related
