What data is collected

During a session, the following data may be collected:

  • Browser history or cookies
  • Device information beyond what’s needed for the session
  • Location data
  • Data from other tabs or applications
  • Participant data outside of the active session

Participant controls

Participants have control over their data during and after sessions:
  • Camera — Can be turned off at any time
  • Microphone — Can be muted at any time
  • Screen sharing — Can stop sharing at any time
  • Consent — Can decline before the session starts (when enabled)
  • Leave — Can end the session at any time

Creator controls

As a scenario creator, you control:
  • Whether sessions are recorded
  • Whether consent prompts are shown
  • Which capabilities are enabled (camera, screen share, etc.)
  • Who receives notification emails
  • Data retention settings

AI provider data handling

Waterr Meet uses multiple AI providers for speech and language processing. Key guarantees:
  • No training on your data — Session data is not used to train any AI models
  • Ephemeral processing — Audio and video are processed in real-time and not stored by AI providers
  • Transcripts — Generated and stored on Waterr infrastructure, not by third parties
